Can you estimate your one-rep max without testing it?
Your one-rep max is the heaviest weight you could lift once. Finding it the direct way means going to failure, which is a poor idea early on.
You can estimate it from a normal set of a few clean reps. Enter your weight and reps, and see what the maths says you could lift for one, plus the weights for other rep targets.
